Introduction : Micro teaching technique was first adopted at Stanford university ,USA in 1961 by Dwight W . Allen and his co-workers and is now followed in many countries with modified and improved version it is a taring procedure for teacher preparation aimed at simplifying the complexities of the regular teaching process.

Teaching skills in natural science

B.K. Passi has given the following list of teaching skills.
1.Writing instructonal objectives.
2.Introducing a lesson.
3.Fluency in questioning.
4.Probing questioning.
5. Explaning etc .

  Skills of introducing a lesson

When a teacher introduce a lesson , he gives a briefer introduction about the lesson in order to pre dispose the pupils minds to it .

The teacher shows pictures depicting the condition of water cycles.
Skill of fluency in questioning

Topic : Sources of water

Teacher : What are the common sources of water ?
Pupil : Well and river.
Teacher : Is there any other ?
Pupil : Sea,Rain,Snow.

Conclusion

Micro teaching is a scared down sample of teaching in which a teacher teaches a small unit to a small period of 5 to 10 minutes.
